Who, what, how, why, are just four questions we find ourselves asking in the office, surely the Labour Party should be asking a whole lot more, of themselves. With Rishi Sunak dishing out billions in fraudulent claims during the pandemic (and billions more being given out as sweeteners/useless PPE contracts) , the country going through a cost of living crisis, nearly every profession of the public sector striking for better pay and conditions and the Tory right still stalking the man they consider “The Boris Assassin”, some genius at Labour HQ thought it necessary to ignore all of this and instead attack Rishi Sunak with claims that even with a stretch of the imagination doesn’t sound plausible. They’ve broken through the bottom of the barrel and have managed to scrape the dirt from beneath. If they like their name suggests, supported those in the labour market striving to earn enough to feed their families and pay their bills, whilst hoping to work in better conditions, Labour may have walked the next election. As it stands, now having ventured down into the gutter they may find themselves slipping on some sh*t. This approach not only causes an undesirable stink but also shows their vulnerability, as it would seem, they are making the argument about the man rather than the party and their policies and by doing this shows us, it is he who they fear. We must then ask if this is the case why? Is it because he resembles their most successful leader in all he says and does so much that it fills them with dread, or is it something else? Either way, we feel Labour has lost its way and unless it gets back on the right track it may not be the only thing it’ll end up losing.
