The Guff reveals that since being old enough to vote (in the 97 General Election) many others like Russell couldn’t be bothered to vote either. As 1997 was the year Blair the Younger (future War Monger) swept to power, we at the Guff asks “Is Russell weird or a Witch”?
Did he have foresight of the pain and misery this election result would have globally or was he just like the other 28.6{c9eb5efea1ac215957824e6dc8dfa66a22d2293c69330ff7c50bd1e34ce49b75} of those who found voting for the latest incarnation of hope and truth too good to be true.
Should an experienced journo as Paxman be so taken aback by the non voting antics of a comedian that comes across as such an anti establishmentarian and non conformist that we’re surprised he hasn’t formed his own language (or religion).
If we look at the party leaders, the leading lights and indeed their polices and falsehoods both in opposition and in power (since 1997) is there any wonder such a large percentage of the voting populous refuse to believe the promised arrival of a “Brand New Dawn”.
In the 1997 Manchester Central by election, the turn out was percentage wise little more than the legal voting age (18.16{c9eb5efea1ac215957824e6dc8dfa66a22d2293c69330ff7c50bd1e34ce49b75}) and in every general election since then it’s been less than 75{c9eb5efea1ac215957824e6dc8dfa66a22d2293c69330ff7c50bd1e34ce49b75} (even less in by elections). So as we are now approaching another election and the spurious behaviour of those craving power is being ramped up to suit our ears, we urge you to put down the “Weapons of Mass Distraction” and become informed.
When you speak of the turning of a wheel you speak of a “revolution” and that is what we speak of, people turning, changing the way they think and the way they do. It’s not about minding the barricades but merely unbarricading the mind, we are not saying vote we are saying veto, send them a message. We just don’t want change, we want change for the better.
If we want to see change in our homes, our streets, our communities, our world, then it’s up to us as individuals to bring about that change.
Do you really think it’s coincidence that the Whitehouse was built using slave labour, or that Lord Downing (as in Downing street) sold slaves, or that the mark placed on the ballot paper (x) is the mark of a slave and the people who truly wield the power are called Whips.
Free your mind, become emancipated. We don’t need to stand for election to be able to make a stand, let us stand together.
