Just recently we at The Guff (and anyone else who can pick up a news paper or turn on the news) have been surprised at how worthless current figures are. As the police (cuffing), the NHS (massaging), the DWP (Jobbing) and others trim the fat of their once bulging figures we must draw the conclusion that at least 75{c9eb5efea1ac215957824e6dc8dfa66a22d2293c69330ff7c50bd1e34ce49b75} of all statistics are made up (as this one is).
Besides providing the Government with comfort in letting them believe their anti social, sick and redundant policies are working to aid the electorate in their everyday lives of drudgery, the figures (always seem to be down) are proving to be completely useless (especially if a victim of crime, sickness or unintended unemployment).
We continue to watch as the political class like some “Master Chef” continue to cook the books whilst the likes of us continue to get burnt.
