INTRUSION (Putin)
The first in the following clips allows us to see the rise of Mr Putin but we at the Guff would like to provide a little back story to the whole episode. If you’d like to turn your memory back to Christmas of 1991, the year that the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) became no more. On an international level it was the loosening of the Russian grip on it’s neighbours, on a national and indeed a personal level for nationalists like Mr Putin it was like tearing the children away from the protective, comforting arms of a Mother. Not only did Mr Putin view the break up of the USSR as an assault on Mother Russia but also an affront to himself, as as a KGB operative he found himself barricaded in, hiding from the baying crowds in fear of his life. This is the reason why Mr Putin vowed to avenge himself and his beloved Mother Russia and attack/discredit/break up any union/alliance in the West (UNITED States, UNITED Kingdom, European UNION and the UNITED Nations and NATO) by using his well placed, well paid minions. But ironically also use the potential union of both North and South Korea to pursue his dream. The resulting chaos of Brexit Trump etc gift wrapped by the unsuspecting populous of the unsuspecting nations has had Mr Putin thinking that all his Christmas’s has come at once. Who needs the theatre of War when you have bad actors in charge ready to play what ever role they conceive for themselves (tough guy, man of the people, international statesman, nationalist, defender of sovereignty………).
In the following clip we witness Megyn Kelly interviewing Mr Putin and in doing so shows more tenacity and more journalistic integrity than many of her counterparts in the so called press/news media/political arena.
Confusion (Brexit)
Although Mr Putin could be considered responsible for the current political landscape, we feel this not to be the entire case. For all he did was to gain capital on schisms that had already existed. When you look carefully at the rise of UKIP and the subsequent Brexit debacle you may see for yourself that it had the fingerprints of the Tory right all over it (The 2 UKIP MP’s, UKIP’S donors, UKIP’S representative in the Welsh Assembly and even Farage himself all hark from the CONservative party) . These people existed long before Mr Putin came to power and even before the fall of the USSR. Therefore all Mr Putin did was to exploit the love the Left has for Communist Russia (UI’s, useful idiots) and the hatred the Right has for anything or anyone unlike them. This coupled with the outdated class system where greed and the hunger for power rule the ruling class and the wish to climb the social ladder occupies the minds of those on the bottom rung. The blindfold of nationalism and the blinkered view of the past has led us to be where we are today.
End of Act 1
Collusion (Trump)
We now move to the US where Mr Putin again was up to his eyeballs in meddling but again we’d like to stress how the cracks were already there and that all he did was to not only give Don a hand in getting the top job but then also placed a crowbar into Dons hand which he’d then use to prise open the divisions and cracks in the US’s fractured society (race, gender, the gap between rich and poor to name a few). Mr Putin took everything the US held dear and turned it on it’s head. Owning military style weaponry that’s more suitable for the front line of the battlefield that’s capable of gunning down many innocent people……… Good. Welcoming the poor, destitute victims fleeing persecution, oppression, war or violence……..Bad. This again coupled with the overriding sense of superiority (supremacy), the presence of greed and the worship of celebrity gave Mr Putin the perfect set up for what can only be described as a bloodless, spineless, gutless coup (NRA= Newest Russian Agents).
End of Act 2
Illusion (Korea)
Finally over to North Korea where we have Kim Jong Un who having had a taste of life in the West and then add this to his inherited narcissistic traits was the perfect person to assist Mr Putin in his grand plan. The West (especially the US) having talked up the perceived threat of North Korea for decades (even though British And American Tobacco had a plant there) was now more than willing to broker talks with this once secretive country, even more so if it meant The Putin stooge in the White house was to receive a Nobel Peace Prize for his “efforts”. With Kim on the world stage and the threat of nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula diminishing, this allowed Mr Putin to produce a trilogy.

Footnote
We can blame Mr Putin for tampering with elections, spying on our citizens, bribing our officials but isn’t that what happens anyway? Our own ruling class, Lobbyists, big business and (self) interest groups have plagued our “democratic” system for years now and rather than clean up our act we now prefer to blame a foreign power. The fact that our political leaders prefer to sit/dine/accept money from/do business with governments and groups that if not for their wealth and influence would be considered undesirable allows the likes of Mr Putin easy access. It’s Orwell and good (sorry) pointing the finger at the boy (Putin) urinating in the pool but if you were to look closer you’d see beneath the water quite a few turds.
