If the BBC is affectionately known as Auntie then Jimmy Savile was definately the weird pervy Uncle. Since the demise of Savile and the launch of numerous inquires, we have seen how the seeds of celebrity worship grew into this grotesue that preyed on the innocent and the vulnerable.
At the Guff we wonder, if all these historical cases involving Ye Olde Celebs were not investigated thoroughly at the time was it due to the blinding light of personality or was it due to something much more sinister invovling those in positions of power.
In recent years we have witnessed the unveiling of monumental failings,corruption and criminality in such instututional pillars as the Police, Press and the Politicians that it beggars beleif that the general public still hold them in such high regard.
It is then with this in mind why the question of Cover Up and White Wash will always spring to mind when something of a dubious nature is seemed to be validated or even sanitsed by the use of inquest or inquiry.
