Ever since the Epstein bombshell has gone off Don has tried to look tough, trying and failing to be gangsta gangsta but instead looking more like prankster prankster. Every word he’s uttered, every act he’s actioned has come out either badly scripted or badly acted.
Those who thought they were holding an ace up their sleeve by holding the dirt on Don may have either played their hand too early or have overplayed their hand thinking they were on to a winner. For rather than holding a King they were in fact holding nothing more than a Joker which has had them winning Jack…
The following three films perfectly show Don as a man being led rather than the leading man. The chosen titles are linked by a gangster theme (two featuring mobsters and the last having the title of an Italian word that has been acted out by many a gangster).
Trying to look tough (and failing) wishing he was a wiseguy (and failing). The Don is more like the Crapo de tutti Crapo, the worst of the worst rather than the Boss of Bosses. He has ordered his henchmen to bomb wooden boats suspected (but not proven) to be carrying drugs, to many it would seem that the story provided by the administration was the only thing that was suspect, after all Don did Pardon a former President of a Latin American country that was jailed for allowing the trafficking of copious amounts of drugs.
It has proven to be evident that it was nothing more than the neighbourhood gangster shaking down those in his vicinity, blatantly going after their natural resources. He did this not to make sure prices at the pump stayed low for the American consumer but to add to his, his family’s and his close circle of miscreants’ pockets.
Don and his two underlings tried to dress it up as a military exercise to free a nation of a tyrannic leader (the irony) but no matter how much they wanted to make things up or dress things up, the bottom line was that some may have liked it but many, many others did not.
Rather than looking like the American Darling Don made himself look like a wan’ a be gangster willing to massacre anything from the rule of law to possible regional alliances for a quick buck. To aid him in his act of playing gangster he dragged up and then dragged in two of his cheerleaders Smegbreath and Lubebio to cheer him on with his endeavours (which he was now calling the Donroe doctrine).
Unlike Don, President Monroe held many political roles and fought for his country before becoming President, whereas Don ate many rolls and dodged the draft before becoming President. President Monroe also refused to work with or be influenced by a foreign government (Great Britain), whereas again we have Don acting out a “con” and being “trolled” by those foreign governments who have the dirt on him.
In the original version we have a fascist totalitarian regime, no change there then. In this our remake rather than a masked vigilante we have a villain wearing the mask of President. Putting that to one side for a moment, here’s the definition of the word Vendetta.
Personal or Political Campaign: A prolonged effort to cause professional, social, or verbal harm to someone due to past grievances, hatred, or rivalry.
Origin and History
Etymology: The word comes from the Italian Dictionary word vendetta (meaning “revenge”), which traces back to the Latin word vindicta (“vengeance” or “punishment”).
Well, that seems to tick all the boxes, as it would seem this is how Don wants to use his entire second term (as well as making as much money for him, his family and those in his inner circle). Rather than being anonymous Don wants to have everything enormous.
He doesn’t care who knows this and rather than mask the way he’s hollowing out the departments of government, ripping the heart out of the country and bringing systems to their knees he wants the world to see the enormous ballroom, helipad, amount of gold used in the renovation of the Whitehouse and the wealth he has generated during his presidency.
In V for Vendetta the people rise up and revolt, sadly in Don’s America he and the billionaire Epstein class think the people are revolting and need to be stamped down.
